The Sole F80 treadmill has been a best buy for years in the $1,000 -$2,000 price range. For the 2009 model year Sole has made a number of alterations to a machine which has been receiving rave reviews since it was first introduced.

Why the update, was there something wrong with the treadmill? It sounds simple but the machine was updated because the whole line was update, and no there was nothing major about the F80 that needed to be fixed. The mild update has improved the console as well as added a couple enjoyable new features.

The updates on this machine include speakers and an MP3 hook-up. This added feature helps to make the F80 a more fun machine where as it was previously viewed as a very function driven machine as opposed to being feature driven. Functionality does however persist, one customer commented:

“I wanted a nice and stable treadmill since I like to run. Well, I was NOT disappointed in this treadmill. It is by far better than any treadmill I have used anywhere (including gyms).”

Still A “Best Buy”?

The F80 is a remarkably steady, smooth treadmill which has long been known as a Best Buy within the $1000-$2000 price range and continues that reign with its subtle updates only serving to make the machine better than ever.

The new MP3 compatible speaker system allows users to their favorite music while working out.

The powerful 3.0 hp continuous duty motor gives the F80 a large maximum weight capacity of 335 pounds as well as the ability to allow anyone within the suggested weight capacity to run 11 mph at a 15% incline if that is really what you would like to do. It also means that the motor is less likely to wear out over time and that the machine will run more smoothly than some underpowered machines within this price range.

The reliability and sense of quality that has always been a part of the F80 was commented upon recently by a new customer:

“We have owned several treadmills in the past. Mostly bought into the top line of Nordictrack, but never felt confident that the belt wouldn’t slip or the treadmill itself would hold up. Recently we purchased the Sole F80 and we are just amazed.”

Although customers and reviewers seldom have a bad thing to say about this machine, I have always wished to see a 60 inch belt on this machine. There is plenty of power to run at an incline, but not enough running surface to do so comfortably.

I personally like a treadmill that offers a greater number of preset program to help train in specific ways and occupy those who are easily bored on a treadmill.

Is The Sole F80 Better Than Before?

Treadmill manufacturers often cause more problems than they solve when they update machines that are already successful, this is not something Sole did this time around.

The Sole F80 treadmill comes as highly recommended as it ever did and customers are already saying how much they enjoy the 2009 version of an ever popular model. I predict that this machine will continue to be a customer favorite and remain highly rated by all who choose to review it.
