Proform Perspective ES Treadmill Review

TV treadmills are fast becoming a very important segment of the home fitness industry. Demand has been increasing over the last few years and a decrease in the cost of quality LCD screens has helped to make these machine become more economical and better equiped.

In the sub $1500 category ProForm offers a value TV treadmill in the form of the Proform Perspective ES treadmill. One of Proform’s best performers, the Perspective ES may not be the equal of the top of the line machines produced by manufacturers like Smooth, Precor, and Sole Fitness, but is indeed a great value and a great performer.

A decent shock absorption is employed on the ProForm Perspective ES, in addition to the barrage of features ProForm always seems to tack onto their machines. With a well balanced sound system, a 7″ LCD TV, and a jack to hitch your favorite MP3 player, the Perspective has its bases covered when it comes to entertainement. The 28 programs on this machine helps to define it as a truly feature rich machine.
Feature Rich At A Low Price

Aimed at being being an overall loaded machine, the Perspecive ES hits a lot of the points which get customers excited about a piece of home fitness equipement. Providing quality entertainment is a definate aim of this machine and that aim is well satisfied. Add in a motor which is much better than I would expect out of a ProForm and a frame which is fairly solid and you have pretty good machine overall. Customers pick up on this and appreciate all the features included in this machine. One owner had this to say:

“This treadmill is extremely quiet, and has great cushioning, I get shin splints and by using this treadmill I don’t ever have a problem with shins splints after I use this treadmill. The TV is nice to keep me entertained, so rather than sitting on my sofa I can watch my shows on the treadmill and get into shape. It has good workout programs to so I can just follow with what the treadmill has me do. It is a Great Treadmill.”
-Steven

Despite being quiter and sturdier than many other Proform machines the Perspective ES does still lack the sense of durability and quality found on the high end machines. The warranty unfortunately seems to be tailored to the quality of the machine. Most customers see fee problems with this machine and repairs are not a major issue but it is always nice to have a long warranty which guarantees this fact. All and all the quality does match its price so in the grand scheme of things this is a great machine.

Value Is Standard

Something that this machine has that I love to see in my fitness equipment is value. That real tangible bang for your buck is present in the Proform Perspective ES treadmill.

I advise getting an extended warranty if possible but this machine does perform well and delivers a great sense of value and should continue to do so for a good number of years. Not the equal of the best machines the market has to offer, but a great offering at its price.
