The Proform C525 treadmill is one of those machines that seem to provide customers with what they want without actually being a great machine to start out with. With a very limited warranty, cheap plastic covers, and a weak motor the C525 is not the type of machine that I would like to hail as a great value but with its positive reviews with customers and good performance at low speeds it does have much to offer. One customer is quoted as saying,
“The Proform Treadmill meets all my expectations. It is perfect for my needs. I love it!”
A subtle surprise in the $500 price range, the Proform C525 is loved by customers and offers a stable platform for walking and jogging.

With a cushioning system that does address some of the impact associated with running and a fan addressing the overheating that is associated with general exercising, this treadmill starts off fairly well. Programs are targeted at wieght-loss, cardiovascular improvement, and endurance building and are well designed to meet those goals. Those two features help to make this $500 treadmill enduring to many consumer.
Not What Some Would Make It Out To Be
The C-525 is a pretty good walker, at low speeds it is quiet, the fan helps to reduce the sting of working out in the heat of summer and the incline is easy to adjust to help work lower leg muscle as well as to give a cardio vascular workout at even low speeds. As a dedicated jogging treadmill or a serious treadmill the C-525 does not stack up nearly as well. The truth is as much as the 1.75HP motor is said to be powerful it can be very loud and hot running at high speeds, on obvious sign it is being overworked. A 50″ deck legnth might be almost standard at the $500 range but it is not appreciated by joggers and runners and those who are 6 feet tall and taller.
The console is straight forward and easy to use, something that makes the machine so well like by consumers. It is easy to assemble and usually has no problem during its first few months of use. It is a simple, reliable machine and that is what most customers are looking for, right?
For the set of users who want to run or seriously jog on a treadmill, know that this machine is not recommended for use at upper limit of 10 mph. Despite being generally loud, the hot running motor will be more likely to aquire damage and will have a shorter life span than it it were used at lower speeds.
Meets Customer Need, But Not Deserving Of Hype
For a coat rack treadmill, or a daily use walking treadmill you will use while watching the view or regis, this is a great machine. It gives a mild workout without the stress and strain of walking on concrete or asplalt. It is easy to fold in the corner and easy to set back up to use when it is needed, which makes it a favorite of many casual uses.
I hold treadmills to a higher standard and personally would have liked to see a more powerful motor, a better warranty, or a longer belt legnth. Despite those things, customers love it and will likely continue to as long as it is available at its bargain price.
