Healthrider H140 Club Series Treadmill Review

As far as quality is concerned, the higher end Icon models have gotten better, over the last few years. We have seen the $2000 models receive upgrades in polymers used, some added metal coverage and the use of better motors. The lack of warranty is still a nagging factor and unfortunately a big detractor of the Healthrider Club Series H140T treadmill that might otherwise be considered a good treadmill.

With 40 Ifit programs included, the H140T is fairly loaded as far as workouts are concerned. Regardless of your fitness needs this machine has atleast one workout that will work out for you. The upgraded speaker system is also great for use with the 7″ LCD TV while you are working out.

A decent cushioning system and a powerfuk motor and large belt make this machine more of a runner. The rigid frame is one thing that allows HealthRider to offer this machine which is a quality running treadmill.

Nice, But Can’t Compete

With many great features it is hard for me to start out tearing down this machine. HealthRiders top models have seen improvement in quality that has not yet seen an improvement in warranty follow. The Club Series H140T is a truly sturdy machine which is enjoyable to run on and offers great entertainment options.

Unfortunately there are a few glaring oversights made by HealthRider. First, uaually priced around $2500, the H140T is placed in a price category occupied by Smooth, Sole, Life Fitness, and others who have long histories of the top quality machines and some of the best warranties. This machine just can’t compete with a lifetime Parts warranty which Smooth usually offers on its $2500 machines.

Also, and integrated tv, built into the console can prove tricky and expensive to repair, many people site that as a liability for this machine. My theory is that if you want a TV in your treadmill you should have one, but is just me.

Also, at $2500 I need to start looking at the quality a little more closely, which leads me to the inclusion of some plastic components which are still weak and the insufficient warranty. With all that is going great for this machine, the price tage elivates it to a price range in which it simply can not compete.

Features Which Do Not Justify Price

I like the TV, and the speakers too, but wished the whole time to see a little better warranty. The Inclusion of all those Ifit programs is great, but then I saw the Price tag. That is the way many customers will come to see the machine as nice, but not worth its price tag.

If HealthRider could offer this machine for $1500 I bet it would be well received, but until their quality and warranty justifies a $2500 price tag, they should not sell Healthrider H140T treadmill at a price we only expect from more prestigious brands.
