Horizon treadmills are definitely aimed at at hitting a specific price point. For many people who use their treadmill as a coat rack during the summer months and rarely use it is the winter and fall it may be one of the best brands for you.

The big thing that the Horizon T91 tredamill has going for it is that its warranty on its frame will stay with you unlike most other machines at a similar price point. The motor is warrantied for the same period as the frame, the machines lifetime, yet another plus for Horizon.

One customer comments one the machine as a whole,

“This machine offers a wide array of programs and has by far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this machine to anyone in the market for a piece of fitness equipment.”

To make it quite clear, the sub $700 price point in treadmills may be “competitive”, but it does not offer all that many machines that make reviewers in the least bit happy with performance or features. Icon fitness hits the price point many times but with limited success.

The Horizon T91 treadmill is one of Horizon Fitness’ lower end models but it does offer many things which makes it competitive in its price range and a consideration for anyone who does not want to pay more than $700 dollars for a treadmill.

An “air cushioning” means that you will seem some reduction in strain when you compare running on this treadmill to running on asphalt, but it is by far not the most comfortable treadmill on the market.

The console is pleasant and the folding system is a little easier to use than many other treadmills with similar price tags. Its weight is also enough to give the T91 a decent amount of stability

A Walker

With a walking surface that is only 50 inches long it is hard for me at 6 feet tall, with long legs, and a pension for running to hop on this treadmill and feel comfortable.

That being said, using the machine at slow speeds, taller individuals should find enjoyment in the T91 and the cushioning system is in fact purposed for low speeds which makes this machine a walker in my eyes despite having just enough horsepower to allow a little running.

Programs are basic and to the point, letting the user focus on calorie burn, distance, or general fitness themed workouts. The bulk of the programs include alterations in incline which is great for this machine since with its short walking surface it may not be comfortable for most people to run or job on this machine.

The disadvantages of this machine obviously include the short walking surface but continue with a lack of entertainment and comfort features and are rounded out by limited cushioning that may not provide for those able to run on this machine

A Good Entry Treadmill

Often compared and contrasted with the Icon fitness machines, the Horizon T91 treadmill offers a warranty which the Icon machines simply do not carry.

Something that makes a seldom use machine desirable is the ability to pick back up on using it every January first, think New Year’s resolution, and not have to worry about the cost of the frame of motor all the while you are cleaning off the machine to start using it again.

Overall, this machine offers the features and quality necessary for only the most limited of workouts, think like walking and jogging, but is smooth and quiet enough to be enjoyable and lasting.
