The Epic View 550 treadmill is rated as a best buy by multiple reviewers and quite simply it is.
A particularly good machine from Icon that is particularly of note for not only having a 7″ LCD TV, but also having a multi color on screen display which can either be turned off or shown over the TV while the TV is on.
This is a feature which some of the most expensive TV treadmills don’t have. Only needed one screen keeps the console looking clean and ordered.
Aside from the TV the View 550 also has plenty of horse power, 3.0 CHP, and a large 20 x 60 inch belt which makes this treadmill a good option a serious runners who are not satisfied with treadmills that do not allow them to stretch out their stride.

TV Treadmill on a Budget
A quality running treadmill, with a TV, a fan, and 28 programs, all these things on a treadmill commonly available for under $1500 dollars?
Yes, it is true and that is why the Epic View 550 has often been rated as a best buy between $1,000 and $2,000 price range.
An incredible value, the View 550 offers many features not included on its competitors, for example its 20 X 60 deck, something that is rarely seen on any treadmill under $1500, add in a TV and that is an incredible value.

The EPIC View 550 is a consistent machine which can be trusted to hold within a quarter mile and hour of its set speed, something that a number of other “Value” machines can not say.
It is enjoyable to use and truly allows running with a long enough belth and a strong enough motor to run at 12 mph, even at an incline. Performance is mated with features on the View 550, and it makes for an enjoyable machine.
The problem is, although I say, as well as most reviewers, that Epic is a much higher quality brand than others manufactured by icon, there is still an issue of warranty.
Any treadmill worth owning should leave its customers well protected for at the very least 3 years. On the 550 you can only look forward to 1 year of parts coverage.
Although the 1 year of labor is common, other high priced machine offer even more.
In a nut shell, the warranty does leave owners without protection and makes consumers continue to worry about Icon quality concerns.
Best Buy
Despite warranty and Icon quality concern the Epic View 550 treadmill has time and time again been called a best buy. It is an enjoyable machine with a number of quality features who would be the perfect value treadmill without the whole warranty and quality issues.
The 550 comes recommended, however I would suggest paying more for an extended warranty if possible
