The Proform 775 CrossTrainer features audio technology that will talk to you through each of the 9 cross trainer workouts. It may seem for some that they have a personal trainer by their side for motivation and feedback, or for others it may just seem annoying. Either way, this is a great innovative idea in [...]
Proform Treadmill Reviews
ProForm treadmills are manufactured by fitness giant, Icon Health and Fitness. This company's other subsidiaries are Weslo, Reebok and Healthrider, among others.
Icon introduced the ProForm treadmills for the low to mid-range market. These treadmills won't break the bank with the entry-level models starting at $500 and rising to $1800 to the mid-range ones. ProForm treadmills are basic machines but not short on features. You will be surprised to know that Icon included features found in their more expensive models to the lower-end ProForm variants.
Icon is instrumental behind low-priced treadmills. If not for them, there are hardly any treadmill below $1,000. Just like my previous reviews of Icon-backed machines, you get what you pay for, and ProForm treadmills are no exception.

A quick rundown of these notable
features include:
The Pro Shox Cushioning uses a pressure responsive air shock underneath the center of the tread belt to help reduce the impact of each stride.
The ProTech Cushioning is a basic feature in most Icon-made treadmills. It helps protect your joints from excess strain and injury. Another ProTech feature is the Custom cushioning, which helps adjust the deck to best fit your needs.
The EKG2 Grip Pulse ensures that you efficiently meet your target heart rate to help meet a specific workout or fitness level. Your pulse data is also available through this feature.
The iFit provides users an interactive workout. Simply connect to the internet and there you will be able to secure more workouts, videos and CDs.
We have tried different ProForm treadmills and they performed very well in our tests for a low-priced treadmill. The motors are efficient and the frame is stable.

Users who are planning to workout indoors and shopping for their first treadmill should consider ProForm treadmills. These machines offer many of the features of more expensive models to this brand. ProForm machines are very good for walkers and light joggers and the more expensive models of Pro Form can meet more demanding requirements of seasoned athletes.
As you would expect in all treadmills in this category, they are backed by a short and limited 90-day warranty. Before buying the basic models, be sure to asses your workout use. You may opt to upgrade your warranty coverage by buying extensions from 1 to 3 years should you foresee your machine needs servicing in a few years.
Those who are looking for a budget treadmill, with a good set of features, performance and reasonable quality, Pro Form treadmills are a wise choice.
