Image Treadmill Reviews

Icon Fitness offered the Image treadmills for those budget conscious users in need of a value treadmill. This is a very good marketing ploy by Icon in order to make people consider buying a treadmill, thus attracting a bigger market for these machines. Buyers should limit their expectations because the price is also an indication of an average quality machine. For all its worth, Image treadmills are good for those new to treadmills.

Icon Health and Fitness is the largest manufacturer and distributor of well-known exercise equipment like, Reebok, Healthrider, ProForm, Weslo, among others. Icon is also involved in these product lines' research and development, marketing and design.

Image TreadmillImage treadmills are in the low to mid-range category. They are sold for as low as $400 to a high of $1,700. This is a real value for money product if you are looking for the basic to mid-range features. Some of the impressive features for Image is the 2o"x55" tread belt, iFit, MyStep counter and the SpaceSaver folding design.

For a company of Icon's size, we are dismayed by a 90-day warranty on offer. An option is also available to upgrade your warranty up to 3 years. Such is to be expected for a budget treadmill of course, and buyers would also expect soon to have their machines serviced for repairs. A 3-2-1 warranty (3 years motor, 2 years parts, 1 year labor) is available for higher models of the Image brand. Like their other brands of Icon in this category, their customer service is average.

We are glad when we heard the news that Icon has began to address the complaints in their product quality starting with their more advanced machines. As we mentioned above, these features started to trickle down to their low-end brands like the Image.

We highly recommend Image treadmills for the price conscious customer really wanting to own a treadmill. The components and build quality are very good for a budget machine. Experts say that the Image brand is ideal for walking and light jogging. If you're looking for more serious running, we suggest that you look elsewhere.
